Accessibility statement

CalcRaven should be usable by everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we’ve done

  • Every form field has a visible label, and help text and error messages are connected to their fields.
  • Results are announced to screen readers when you press Calculate, without announcing every keystroke.
  • Everything works with a keyboard alone, with visible focus outlines and a “Skip to calculator” link.
  • Text and controls meet WCAG AA color contrast in both light and dark modes.
  • Buttons and links are at least 44 by 44 pixels for easier tapping.
  • Errors are described in text, never by color alone.
  • Formulas are written as text, and charts have a text summary and a full data table.
  • Pages work at 200% zoom and on small screens without sideways scrolling, and respect your reduced-motion setting.

Known limitations

Calculators need JavaScript to run. Charts are a visual summary; the same figures are always available in the table next to them. If you find anything else that’s hard to use, we want to know.

Feedback
